A long weekend stay in January Apart from Saturday night, the hotel was very quiet, with just 2 or 3 couples some nights. Such a shame, as places like this deserve better. The staff were very friendly and excellent. The room was clean and tidy and whilst some areas of the hotel had been upgraded, others were in need and at this time of the year, maintenance in not unexpected. My wife enjoyed a spa treatment very much, so all in all, very good. The one down side is that except for Sunday morning, the breakfast buffet was either restricted or not there, but the waiting staff would bring whatever was required. As Sunday morning was a lot busier, the full buffet was available and this gave a good impression of what would be available at busier times. We enjoyed evening meals and they were very reasonably priced, well prepared and presented and good value. Well done to all of the team.

Party from Moose International We arrived home yesterday after a wonderful Christmas spent in the Durrant House Bideford ,We brought a party of Widows and Widowers who who would normally would have been on their own at Christmas Staff were very obliging also Michelle who worked on Christmas Day with her cheerful energy Stephen the barman was friendly & helpful Food & entertainment was excellent Well done Durrant House you made Christmas Special Thank you

Ex stay Ex stay. Food V GOOD, Staff went out of their way to help , Very CLEAN. some of the hotel looked tired but the section we stayed in was all panelled walls and good. 2 weeks to Christmas and no entertainment for guests several private parties. GOOD parking with disabled in our party the ramp in the entrance hall was to steep and DANGEROUS for H &S Needs SLOPE NEEDS TO BE REDUCED Rooms good and clean. Hope to book again soon. Party of 5 with 1 disabled using 3 rooms
