Will be back again to the Sorn Inn!

The Sorn Inn was the venue of choice for our anniversary. The staff were very attentive, the menu attractive and food superb. We live locally but were not aware it was offering such excellent food and service. We will be cascading this news to our friends and local neighbour community for sure.

Bad from start to finish

To start off with we were put into a room and left with the curtains closed, don't know why they were closed because the views are lovely, had to ask to get them opened. Service was terrible, took ages to bring food, then they forgot to bring our tea/coffee, the afternoon tea was pretty disappointing, the food arrived on what can only be described as a wooden drawer, also forgot to do our track and trace.

Brisbane house is just beautiful

We had a girls day out - the service and quality of food was amazing. There was a great selection for an afternoon tea and the bread for the sandwiches was delicious. We would definitely book again!

Very tasty

A friend got me a deal from 5pm.co.uk for the Old Loans Inn, the service was excellent the two ladies on were very friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful and warm but the star was the meal as I started with potato and leek soup which was lovely my wife had the haggis and black pudding fritters which she loved. We both had the shin of beef and the meat was cooked perfectly along with the vegetables, the mash was so fluffy - the star was the gravy amazing. Many thanks for a wonderful day.

Recommended if you are in the area

Good food and service but not worth the 55 mile round trip in dreadful weather that we made for the sole purpose of visiting the Inn to avail ourselves of the Celebration Menu for my Hubby’s Birthday. My mistake and poor research resulted in disappointment on discovering it was not a cosy Old Inn. However, if you are in the area it’s worth a visit for a decent lunch.
