Really friendly at reception and they upgraded us to a suite as it was our anniversary. Room had lovely views. Breakfast had a good selection at the buffet and the hotel although clearly old was really nice. The location is superb and it was great to be able to park the car there and just wander the Oxford alleys for the weekend.

Really nice hotel, excellent value, and would stay again We booked the Mercure as a mid-price hotel in central Oxford, and we weren't expecting that much. Instead, it turned out to be really fantastic.

Best View of Oxford from your room The historic setting, opposite the Oxford College courtyard is the perfect setting for an Oxford experience. Just off High Street, out of traffic yet in the center of the historic city amid several colleges, the Eastgate fresh rooms and modern baths earn a top rating.
