Even if it’s too cold to skinny dip, there is something quite peaceful about long walks on the beach. Eastbourne boasts more than three miles of beaches both sandy and with the occasional rock pool. Skim stones and feel the sand beneath your toes!

Eastbourne’s Victorian Pier

Only 600 meters from your door the Eastbourne Pier stands proud. Reminiscent of Victorian Britain, you’ll find shops, cafes, a chippy and an amusement arcade. Fully immerse yourself at The Victorian Tea Rooms with a traditional Afternoon tea including hot beverages and a fresh scone. Jump forward a decade or so at 1901 Jazz Lounge with Blues Kitchen for a boogie and a drink or two.

A Holy Well

Take a visit to Holywell, a district of Eastbourne. Marvel at the views atop The Pinnacle, before popping to the Holywell tea chalet for more stunning views but this time with cake in hand! Go searching for the famous Holy Well, a natural freshwater spring rumoured to be its home’s namesake. Some say drinking from this spring gives people long lives and good health – we’ll drink to that!
