Your end of town
For a couple of days, this corner of London is yours to devour. You’ll be west of the centre, backed off by Paddington station and facing the enchanting Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.
We recommend beginning your city break in this oasis. Stroll through the manicured Italian Gardens, marvel at the statues that pepper the park from the whimsical Peter Pan, the historical Speke monument, the impressive Physical Energy to the contemporary The Arch.
Pop into the iconic Kensington Palace to soak up the exhibitions or to dine at The Orangery. Take a moment of tranquility at the Diana Memorial Fountain before crossing the Serpentine bridge and visiting the contemporary Serpentine North Gallery.
Sip on a coffee from the infamous Speakers’ Corner before venturing away from the peaceful green space to the bustling city streets. Shop your way down Bond Street or drink in the technicolour of Notting Hill.
Iconic Tourist
Of course, the rest of the city is as multi-faceted as the corner you find yourself in – here are some top places we wouldn’t miss!
Our favourite spots:
Attempt the Bermondsey Beer Mile
Celebrity spotting in Hampstead Heath
Stroll through Greenwich Park
Catch a show in Shakespeare’s Globe
Marvel at incredible art at The National Gallery or Tate Modern

Ideal Location We spent one night in Hotel 63 and it was perfect for a place to stay after a night out in the centre of London. The room was just about the right size for us as a couple. The staff were friendly and helpful. A small bar selling drinnks and snacks was a bonus. Located opposite Hyde Park and a few yards from the underground station. Next time in London we will revisit.

Fantastic stay First time staying here for 1 night and I would go back. It’s in a great location, nice and quiet and a short walk from Paddington station, 20 mins walk to Oxford Street and Notting Hill and on a great bus route too if you don’t fancy walking. Also, it’s next to Lancaster Gate tube. The staff were extremely friendly including the most welcoming and cheery cleaner I’ve ever met. I turned up early and all the rooms were cleaned and ready to check into. Bed was comfy and TV had Netflix. Room had everything you need including safe, iron and ironing board, kettle, tea and coffee, shower gel/hand soap, hairdryer and a nice touch with a hot water bottle and blanket. Continental breakfast was good. Can also leave bags with the hotel for the day when you check out.

A lovely place to stay Just returned from an overnight stay here and I couldn’t fault it. The men on reception were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and bright and contained everything you needed for your stay. The beds were super comfy so we slept really well. Breakfast had everything you needed to set you up for the day. The location was perfect, directly across the road from Hyde Park. In my opinion far better than many of the larger hotels we have stayed in.
