It's a lovely place but you have squirrels running around in the rafters day and night and a hole in the ceiling plugged with toilet paper. The restaurant was very nice but the meals were bland and tasteless.

If, you like watching home from home TV then bring your own devices because the TV satellite can be techy.
Of course one doesn't choose these breaks to watch TV...

Lovely comfortable warm room with lovely bed and spacious bathroom in the lodge.
Hotel itself was nice , quite dark and poorly lit grounds proved hard to find the lodge at first but we enjoyed all the facilities available for us

Lovely place in beautiful surroundings. All the staff are friendly and an asset. Room in hotel was ok apart from hot water tap in the sink only trickling. We coped and reported it on leaving. Restaurant lovely and food delicious. Also breakfast excellent apart from powdered scrambled egg. All in all brilliant and will stay again. Very close to Leeds airport.

This hotel is magical. The UK’s largest log cabin, we loved the alpine feel & its beautiful woodland setting. The spa is just dreamy & the breakfast was absolutely delicious- we had a lovely, very attentive waitress who really went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met! The food in the evening was okay - we were glad that it was included in the price as we did think the prices were a little high!

We stayed in a woodland cabin, which we paid a supplement for, and found it very disappointing. There was no seating in the room apart from the bed, the description online said that there was. The outdoor seating area consisted of 2 dirty chairs outside the door while others had a porch we did not. There was no heating in the bathroom so we had to keep the bathroom door open during the night to try and warm it up. There were other issues and I informed the receptionist when checking out. She provided me with an email address for customer relations. I emailed 4 days ago to report our disappointment but have had no reply. It’s a shame because the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. But it has put us off staying there again. We would have been more comfortable staying in the hotel for less money!

Silk purse sows ears sums this place up. Very scenic, but very misleading. Booked a lodge, but truth is, it was a wooden bedroom. Staff were very helpful, and arranged for an executive lodge upgrade complimentary. Just to note this would have cost £80. We were left scratching our heads wondering how they justify the upgrade fees? It's was pretty much like for like, apart from a sofa? Spa was reasonably clean, despite men's changing rooms being closed. Staff, and food were both decent...
