What is there to do nearby?
There’s just as much to look forward to outside of the hotel. The nearby Snowdonia National Park is most well-known for its impressive peaks and the breathtaking hikes it affords. For something a little deeper, try out Corris Mine Explorers and delve deep into the abandoned and forgotten world of slate mining! Stunning views We stayed in Heron 11, newly refurbished ground floor apartment. Very well appointed, clean & tidy, lovely views across the valley. Some nice woodland walks around the estate. We arrived quite a few hours early but did all our check ins and went for a drive to Machynlleth which has a large Coop and a Spar, (market day Wednesday), Katie sent us a text when our place was ready. Plenty to do in area,2 good beaches in Aberdyfi & Tywyn both dog friendly...car parks pay and display. Tywyn is free during winter months

A pleasant stay in large accommodation. I booked a 2 night stay here before reading the reviews for this resort. I then read the reviews and spent the next day worrying. Lesson learned - form your own opinion. The staff were polite and friendly and the accommodation was clean and tidy. If you are looking for 4/5* immaculate properties, then you will be disappointed but if you are looking for a practical, large space in beautiful Welsh countryside and don't mind if the rooms look a little tired, old and in need of a bit of TLC then you will have a pleasant stay. The pool was fine and although the resort was almost full, we didn't really see many other people. We stayed in the Lapwing block. It was set over two floors and had a balcony area. A twin room and two bathrooms downstairs with a large lounge/dining area and a kitchen. The double room with ensuite was upstairs. The accommodation is dog friendly and there are dog bins around the grounds. Yes, it would benefit from money pumped in to it to freshen it up but we enjoyed our stay and would return. We also had a lovely meal at the Glan yr Afron restaurant/pub which is only 3 minutes from the resort.

Eric & Lyn tywyn. Very pleased with our stay. just stayed for 3 nites at Plas Talgarth we only live 8 miles away but we're having work done at home so relocated to Plas Talgarth and so pleased we did we had a brilliant apartment the meals in the bar were excellent both Indian and English menu. 3 couples in our family joined us for the 3 nites and were equally happy they had a family apartment and were pleased with everything and all said they would definitely stay again.
