Wonderful Time at the Hotel Santa Marina: This is a remarkable gem hidden away from the busier sections of the city. The receptionists were very helpful because we confused the words "Costello" and "Castello." The hotel is located in the neighborhood "Castello." I was wandering around the Santa Marina Formosa square, called, and I found the hotel in two minutes. We worked through that and had a great time. By the way, hot water is available at the bar on request for free. I highly recommend this hotel. It is convenient for those who wish to visit the books rescued from underwater bookstore, which is around the corner, sort of, and it's a ten-minute walk to Plaza San Marco. Love it. Hope to return on my next visit because on my last visit I didn't do a gondola ride and I feel that's kind of necessary when you go all the way from Milan, where we started our journey, to Venice. Actually I started in Los Angeles via Warsaw, but that's another story. If you love walking this is your city. Finally a city without cars. Finally. Thank you for your time.

Great location, friendly staff, breakfast lovely: Staying in room 103 atm, rooms great, breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. Location is great with a small grocery shop 1 minute walk if you're forgotten anything. If we come back we'd happily stay here again. Definitely recommend 👌 Matthew Bernie

Central, comfortable, friendly Santa Marina: We loved it here. Excellent central location but quiet in the mornings and evenings. The breakfast is too notch. All of the hotel staff who we dealt with were friendly, helpful and professional. Our bed was large and comfortable.
