Planting & Care Recommendation:

Arrival & Immediate Care

• Unpack plug plants immediately upon arrival.
• Mist them or stand them in water for an hour to rehydrate. They may appear slightly dry or yellow after being in a dark box during transit, but they will quickly recover.
• If unable to do so immediately, they can stay in Mini Greenhouses for a week if kept upright and not too wet.
• Let them settle for a day in a warm, light, and airy place like a windowsill or greenhouse.

Potting & Planting

• Use good-quality, multi-purpose compost when potting on.
• Fill 3-4 inch (7-10cm) pots with compost.
• Make a hole in the compost with a dibber or finger before planting.
• Hold each plug by its root ball and gently firm compost around it.
• Use Windowsill Planters or 9cm pots in Shuttle Trays for the best results.

Watering & Growth

• Water well initially but avoid leaving plants in standing water.
• Water only when the top compost starts to dry.
• Grow on a bright windowsill or in a greenhouse for 3-4 weeks before planting in beds or larger containers.

Direct Planting in Flower Beds

• Ensure that all risk of frost has passed before planting outdoors.
• Prepare the ground by removing weeds and enriching the soil with compost or well-rotted manure if needed.
• Plant 60cm apart for full growth after two seasons.

Feeding & Maintenance

• Use a high-potash feed like Blooming Fast Superior Soluble Fertiliser to encourage flowering.
• These perennials will establish and improve year after year.
