Clumping Variety

Unlike many other bamboos, Fargesia rufa is a clumping, non-invasive variety that forms a dense screen ideal for concealing eyesores or providing privacy. Its medium height and clumping habit make it suitable as a specimen accent in containers or borders without the worry of it taking over the garden. This frost-tolerant bamboo can withstand both heat and sun, making it a hardy choice for outdoor spaces. Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this bamboo reaches a maximum height of 3m (10ft) with a spread of 1.5m (5ft).
