Dahlias are making a dazzling comeback, adding a burst of vibrant colour to late summer and autumn gardens! Supplied as energy-packed tubers, they’re easy to grow in pots or flower beds, quickly sprouting in May and reaching 60-90cm tall. Each tuber produces 20-30 stunning blooms, perfect for cutting or enjoying outdoors. Keep them flowering into autumn with regular dead-heading. Hardy in mild winters, tubers can be lifted and stored or left in pots for regrowth. This mix of 20 grade 1 tubers offers a variety of colours and shapes, bringing timeless charm to any garden.

Care instructions

• Start early in pots - Pot up tubers in March or early April using 2-3L pots filled with multi-purpose compost.
• Provide light & moisture - Keep in a frost-free, bright spot and ensure the soil stays moist for healthy growth.
• Transplant after frosts - By late spring, plants will be bushy and ready for planting in the garden.
• Direct planting option - If starting in pots isn’t possible, plant tubers directly in the ground once frosts are nearly over.
• Planting depth & spacing - Dig a hole 30cm wide x 30cm deep and space tubers 75cm apart for proper growth.
• Feed & water regularly - Feed every two weeks with liquid fertiliser and water weekly during dry periods.
• Support & maintain - Stake plants to prevent breakage and deadhead regularly for continuous blooming.
