After a miscommunication with my friend, the lovely staff here gave me the drink on the house when I cancelled the booking and rebooked for the following week. They are so lovely to their customers they deserve great reviews.

One of the West End’s hidden gems, the Lansdowne Kitchen and Bar is a basement bar and restaurant just off Great Western Road on Lansdowne Crescent. Comfy leather sofas, an air conditioned Glasshouse, live music, DJs, sport and gastropub food all combine to make the LBK a lively neighbourhood hangout.
A family-friendly bar, the Lansdowne Bar and Kitchen serves a wide range of contemporary and classic dishes. The sharing platters of mixed seafood or Italian meats are always popular as are the gourmet burgers and steaks. Baked potatoes, weekend brunches and a nifty selection of fish dishes, such as the smoked haddock kedgeree, all add to the bar’s appeal.
Other main courses include pork loin, roast chicken and traditional steak pie. Vegetarians are offered a selection including chargrilled vegetable risotto, mushroom & goats cheese veggie stack & vegetable lasagne. There is also a separate children’s menu at the Lansdowne Kitchen and Bar, just off the Great Western Road.
The Lansdowne Bar and Kitchen is on Lansdowne Crescent, towards the Byres Road end of Glasgow’s Great Western Road. Kelvinbridge is the nearest subway station. Several bus routes line the Great Western Road and there is limited on street parking in the area. Local attractions by the Lansdowne include Kelvingrove Park and Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens.
