Arcaffe Italian Kitchen is a bustling Italian on North Claremont Street in between Kelvingrove Park and Sauchiehall Street. A stylish, contemporary and casual restaurant, it serves everything from coffees and lunches to three course evening meals. As well as cocktails and a range of Italian wines, Arcaffe Italian Kitchen also has a selection of Prosecco for those who want some liquid sparkle with their meal.
Arcaffe Italian Kitchen prides itself on using fresh ingredients and making as much as possible on the premises. The stone baked pizza are a big draw, especially the house pizza topped with sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms and anchovies. Diners can also freestyle their own toppings.
Other popular dishes include the penne carbonara, the pollo Milanese and minestrone soup which is made to Arcaffe’s secret recipe. As well as a concise range of burgers, Arcaffe Italian Kitchen serves fish ‘n’ chips; classic salads and sides such as garlic bread, foccacia and bruschetta.
Many diners make sure they leave room for the tiramisu or the torta dell nonna – short crust pastry filled with maraschino cream and topped with pine nuts and icing sugar.
Located on North Claremont Street by Kelvingrove Park, Arcaffe Italian Kitchen is within walking distance of the Hydro and SECC. Charing X is the nearest subway station and there is free on-street parking in the evenings.
