We go here quite regularly and never disappointed with the food and service.
Its always consistently excellent. The 5pm deal is fantastic value £10.95 for 2 courses from the A la Carte menu, with a couple of exclusions. We will be back again soon.

This Ashoka branch is on Kirk Road in Bearsden to the northwest of Glasgow. Serving traditional Indian cuisine, this relaxed and unpretentious restaurant is popular with local residents as well as visitors to the area. Ashoka Bearsden is wheelchair accessible and ideal for informal meals with family or friends, special occasions or romantic nights out.
The chefs at Ashoka Bearsden freshly prepare each dish and several of their curries can be prepared with vegetables to cater for vegetarian diets. Starters include chicken breast, haggis or mushroom pakora, spicy chicken wings or puff pastry samosa. The menu’s connoisseur’s choice serves up main course options such as Himalayan hotpot (lamb or chicken cooked in a spicy sauce with ginger, garlic, mushrooms, peppers, spring onions & carrots) or the popular slow cooked spicy sea bass.
Curry lovers can opt for milder dishes like the Mughlai or Ceylonese korma, chasni or rogan josh and those with stronger palates may prefer to opt for the shakuti (hot and creamy with coconut cream, red chilli and fresh green chillies) or the south Indian garlic chilli (hot and spicy with a sweet ‘n’ sour twist).
Around 6 miles from the centre of Glasgow, Ashoka Bearsden is on Kirk Road just off Drymen Road. Bearsden train station is a seven minute walk from the restaurant and Hillfoot train station is around ten minutes away on foot. Some street parking is available and bus stops can be found nearby.
