Inn on the Green is a cosy and traditional pub & restaurant perched at the edge of Campsie Golf Club and surrounded by breathtaking views of the fells. Inside, you will find plenty of rustic charms and a menu crammed with pub classics. A cocktail menu and regular live music keeps the vibe upbeat.
You will find plenty of crowd pleasing dishes at Inn on the Green, from hearty home-style cooking to burgers to pizzas. Weekday specials include Wednesday Steak Nights, Curry Thursdays and Fish & Chip Fridays.
Daily mains include a hefty 28-day matured 10oz sirloin Steak served with grilled tomato, fried onions, skin-on chips and a choice of sauce. Or you could tuck into steak & Guinness pie; mac ’n’ cheese or chicken Balmoral. The chilli con carne comes in both meat and veggie versions.
The pizzas have a range of favourite toppings like pepperoni and margarita, while daredevils can try out the spice-laced ‘Firecracker’. All burgers are served on a brioche bun and include a steak burger topped with haggis and whisky sauce, as well as vegan ‘beef’ or ‘chicken’ burgers.
Inn on the Green is roughly a half hour drive from Glasgow and just over an hour from Edinburgh. As the pub is at Campsie Golf Club, you could head here after a round. You will also be on the doorstep of various Campsie Fells hiking trails, as well as Lennoxtown village and Mugdock Country Park. If you’re a history lover, then both Lennox and Mugdock castles are a short drive away.
