Live music lounge in Merchant City

Wicked Lounge is an independently owned, late night music lounge on Candleriggs in Glasgow’s Merchant City. It is a sophisticated spot with hints of a vintage speakeasy about the decor. During the day, the huge windows let the sunlight flood in. As well as relaxing daytime live music, there is lots of evening entertainment including an open mike night, quiz night and late night bands on Friday and Saturday. Guests are gently encouraged to dress to impress.

Wide choice of gourmet bar classics

As well as afternoon tea, Wicked Lounge serves delicious hot meals. The menus change regularly but typical starters might be the crab cake, Scotch egg with coronation dressing or the warm tomato and goat’s cheese tartlet. The main courses might offer fish and chips, chicken tikka masala, the halloumi burger or the house beef burger with shallot jam, burger sauce and fries. 

There is also the option of enjoying a Wicked Lounge gourmet sandwich. Made with artisan ciabatta bread, fillings range from Mediterranean veg to the hot roast beef which comes with mustard mayo and dipping gravy.

Wicked Lounge is on Candleriggs in the Merchant City. Queen Street rail station and the city’s subway network are a ten minute walk while Central train station is a fifteen minute walk. There are numerous bus routes on the nearby Trongate. For drivers, the Merchant City has lots of pay parking plus some on-street parking. Taxis are abundant around Merchant Square.
