Well when I go to a hotel I'm really not expecting much but the food here was excellent. We both had the smoked haddock which was up there with some fish restaurants we have previously visited.

Good food and staff accomadated us by letting us sit in the bar to eat (we had just come out of the pool and felt a little dressed down for the restaurant).

Part of the Hallmark Glasgow Hotel on Washington Street, The Brasserie is an informal and welcoming space which is open to locals and hotel residents for lunch and dinner. Smart contemporary decor and a convenient location for the business district mean that The Brasserie at Hallmark Glasgow Hotel is as handy for a romantic meal, perhaps before a Hydro gig, as it is for a working lunch.
The chefs and kitchen brigade of The Brasserie at Hallmark Glasgow Hotel take pride in creating fresh, seasonal dishes with the very best ingredients. Taking their cue from all over the world, the chefs prepare dishes such as the bouillabaisse-style fish stew or the veggie madras curry with lentil dhal.
Traditional British classics such as fish ‘n’ chips or the slow cooked beef featherblade served with potato mash and rich gravy have plenty of fans. As well as burgers, pastas and the dish of the day, the sirloin steak is always popular. The kitchen’s signature dish is the slow cooked, spiced lamb shoulder with a Moroccan style vegetable couscous, harissa and tahini yoghurt. From the warm Belgian waffle to the tarte Tatin, the dessert menu will delight diners with a sweet tooth.
