So LA - this place is just amazing. The food, the staff, the drinks, the venue. It really is top notch and to get a 5pm deal was fantastic. I would go every week if I could. I just love it.

Brought to you by the winning team behind Hutchesons City Grill and The 158 Club Lounge, you will find menus and cocktails that channel the West Coast spirit. Saunter inside in any weather and you’ll soon feel that you’ve been teleported to a balmy Los Angeles dining spot. Downstairs, The White Box subterranean urban garden hosts private parties and special events.
Menus at So L.A. are inspired by the diverse and vibrant Californian dining scene. Expect bold and exciting flavour combinations with a playful touch.
Menus can change, but highlights could include the Szechuan duck doughnut, the togarashi oysters and the sautéed chickpea panisse.
The So Quick lunchtime menu means that you can opt for a more exciting option than a supermarket salad, for instance, with lamb tacos or Cuban sandwiches.
On Sunday, Dirty Brunch takes centre stage. The kitchen team will conjure up a range deliciously naughty dishes, accompanied by poolside beats and cocktails that will transport you to the Sunshine Strip. Why not opt for the soft shell crab benedict combined with a zingy mimosa?
And let’s not forget the drinks menu. Designed to whisk you off on a West Coast flavour journey, you can sample the show-stopping Liquid Bites creative cocktails, the Tequila Map and the California Wine Cellar.
So L.A. is on Mitchell Street, right in the heart of the city. Both The Lighthouse and Gallery of Modern Art are nearby, while Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations are a short walk away. Pay parking can be found close by on Jamaica Street. The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Theatre Royal are near enough to make this a stylish pre-theatre choice.
