Stylish restaurant with great food/service!

A return to our favourite Glasgow Chinese eatery with friends. As always, the staff, service and food were excellent. This was a 1st visit for our Edinburgh friends who loved it and said they would be back, as we will. Highly recommended.

Stylish city centre Chinese restaurant

Located on Mitchell Street in Glasgow’s city centre, Lychee Oriental is a stylish restaurant specialising in traditional Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant aims to provide guests with an Oriental fine dining experience within relaxed surroundings whether they are visiting for a business lunch, a laid-back afternoon meal or a celebration dinner.

Fine dining & a comfortable atmosphere

The restaurant’s experienced chefs offer speciality dishes such as the mouthwatering crispy shredded honey chilli chicken; the classic Thai red curry (with your choice of chicken, beef or king prawns); and the flavoursome roast duck with lychees & plum sauce.

Some other items on Lychee Oriental’s varied menu include the traditional kung po chicken; customer favourite, barbecue sauce spare ribs; and popular noodle dish, stir fried udon with mixed seafood in a black bean sauce. As the restaurant is child-friendly, smaller portion sizes are available for younger diners.

Close to Central & Queen Street train stations

Lychee Oriental is wheelchair accessible, and could be considered one of Glasgow’s best kept secrets as it is tucked away on Mitchell Street in the city centre. A short walk from Central train station and St. Enoch Subway station, the restaurant is a brisk 5 minute walk from Queen Street station and Buchanan Street Subway station. There are bus stops nearby, and paid parking in the NCP car park adjacent to the restaurant.
