This was a great find, we had booked the 5pm deal but opted for the a la carte .
The pizza are freshly made and are absolutely great. We had a pepperoni and a salsiccia both excellent. We had a portion of fries one between two was more than enough.White wine good value.

L’Italiano on Sauchiehall Street is more than just a pizzeria — it’s an experimental pizza lab. That’s because the chefs have worked hard to create their own unique take on authentic, Naples-style creations.
Not a pizza fan? Not to worry, as you’ll find plenty of classic pasta dishes to choose from too.
L’Italiano’s special recipe was developed after painstaking research and testing, resulting in a tasty and fragrant pizza. All dough is crafted using a 36-hour process that results in a classically thin yet fluffy Naples-style base, then sprinkled with high quality Italian toppings.
A firm customer favourite is the hearty Salsiccia pizza, heaped with spicy Italian sausage, mozzarella, potatoes, red onions and tomatoes. Other doughy delights include the Dynamite (pepperoni, salami, spicy chicken, mozzarella, mixed peppers, red onions and mushrooms), and the Salmonata (smoked salmon, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, rocket, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil). A non-meat highlight is the Vegetariana (mushrooms, artichokes, mixed peppers, red onion, black olives, mozzarella, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil).
This pizza spot isn’t too purest either — in other words, you can scoff down a classic Hawaiian, guilt-free.
There is also a range of calzones, plus pasta favourites like spaghetti bolognese, carbonara and arrabbiata.
L’Italiano is based in that sweet spot between the city centre and West End, meaning you can start your evening with pizza then head off wherever you please. All of the bars and venues of Sauchiehall Street are right on the doorstep, plus the King’s Theatre is less than a five-minute walk away. Charing Cross is the nearest train station.
