On arrival we were shown to our table at the window or waitress took our booking paper and said she would be back with water. A waiter came and asked us for our order we explained we had booked on 5pm he wanted to know what offer was, he then went to find the waitress to ask what deal we had. On his return we ordered a starter, wine and had to ask for the water. Our main meal was the Sunday Roast. Three large piece of Sirloin, veg, potatoes and gravy. I would have liked the meal to have been a bit warmer and to be served on at least warm plates. When I went to the Ladies a few of the toilet sets were not secure. When my husband went to the accessible the door had no handle on the inside a member of staff had to stand guard.

Two cultures meet to create deliciously inspired menus mixing both Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences. Despite the international influence, as much produce as possible is sourced locally with Scottish trout and scallops from local fishmongers and 28-day aged beef Scottish steaks from local butchers.
The menu changes frequently but example starters include Sambousek, a crispy filo filled with spiced potato, pea and mint, duqqa and chilli sauce and the oxtail croquette with saffron aioli and pickled red onion as well as a range of sharing starters. Typical mains include frito misto, seasonal fried seafood and shellfish with skin-on fries, minted pea purée and aioli and slow-cooked beef cheek and shallot pie with a savoury herb crumb, creamy mash and glazed heritage carrots. Steaks are available on the grill menu as is a mushroom shawarma seitan with pickled slaw, jewelled rice and toasted flatbread. Expect a choice of salads ands burgers too, some with a Middle Eastern twist.
