We visited the Ballroom in Morningside not sure of what to expect.... it was brilliant! Everything from the pool and darts to the food and service received was excellent.

The Ball Room is a restaurant and sports bar serving up a menu of hearty, no-nonsense choices. Promising ‘more than pub grub’, diners can tuck into oven-baked pizzas, freshly grilled burgers, nachos, paninis and sharing baskets.
As well as being able to test your skills on the snooker tables, pool tables and dart boards, you can watch Sky Sports events on the flat screen TVs, 3D sports TV and 10ft HD screen. An ultra modern jukebox provides background tunes and on warmer days, you can enjoy a beer, wine, malt whisky or cocktail on the suntrap terrace. Pro ping pong tables, a free XBox and poker games all add to the fun.
This is a great place to meet up with friends for a bite, a pint and a game of pool. Plus as children are welcome until 9pm, it makes for an entertaining family dining option as well.
The Ball Room’s menu is unlikely to leave anyone hungry. Dishes can change, but expect choices like the sweet chilli chicken burger, the nachos platter with melted cheddar cheese and the meatballs panini. Pizza toppings might include Spicy Chicken, BBQ Meatballs and Veg-A-Rama.
Or how about opting for an extreme sharing basket combo that includes onion rings, breaded chicken sticks and battered garlic mushrooms?
The brave among you might even want to test your skills at the ‘Man vs Burger’ challenge (if you can make your way through this 12oz triple monster burger, you will win a certificate). Go on — we dare you.
The Ball Room is on Jordan Lane, just off Morningside Road. It is around a 10-minute drive away from the city centre and free parking is available for customers. This would be a great option for a bite to eat before or after seeing a film at the Odeon on Lothian Road.
