  Good generous portions

  All 6 of my party really enjoyed their starter and main. No room for desert-huge portions. We had ordered wine and a few other drinks then remembered we never received out sparkling wine...and was never offered it. A little annoying but all in all, a good evening!

Family-friendly restaurant in Livingston

Oscar’s Bar and Grill is on Livingston’s Ladywell East Road. An independent restaurant and bar, it is both family-run and family-friendly with a kids’ play area and fun quirks such as free face painting on Saturday and Sunday weekends. Comprising a comfortable lounge area and spacious dining room, it has a DJ on Saturday evenings that will play through the decades. The terrace area is always popular when the sun comes out while screenings of all the big sporting events provide equally compelling reasons for staying inside.

International menu made with local produce

There are plenty of traditional choices at Oscar’s with steak and ale pie, haddock and chips plus Balmoral chicken on the menu. Sunday roasts and afternoon teas add further options. Factor in extensive selections of pizza, pasta and burgers plus steaks, and customers have plenty of choices.
From Tex-Mex burgers and sizzling fajitas to tandoori chicken skewers and piri piri chicken wings, the menus at Oscar’s Bar and Grill also clock up the culinary air miles. But not the food miles. The chefs are committed to using local suppliers as much as possible.

Oscar’s Bar & Grill is on Ladywell East Road in Livingston. The restaurant has lots of car parking space. Livingston North is the nearest train station and there are several bus routes within a two minute walk from the restaurant. St John’s Hospital and Emergency Department are a five minute walk.
