Got a great deal here, steak & 2 sides & glass of wine for £10! Food was phenomenal, steaks served on hot stones for you to season and cook to your required taste. Also had someone playing guitar and singing which created an excellent atmosphere along with quick and excellent service. Will definitely be back soon

One of a new generation of Leith Walk establishments, Bar Brig opened in 2015 on the former site of an old school local. Recycled whisky casks, stripped brick walls and shabby chic furniture all promote a laidback atmosphere. Craft beers, cocktails and lots of whisky are among the main attractions along with live music, a pub quiz and live sports.
If you like burgers then Bar Brig will hit your sweet spot. Handmade from Scottish ingredients, they come served on a toasted brioche bun and are available in four and eight ounce versions. The beef burgers range from a classic burger on a bun to the Mexican – topped with chilli beef, jalapenos, cheddar cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Naturally, there are also pork, lamb, chicken, fish and veggie versions. All the burgers can be customised with a wide range of toppings and sides
Other options include the fish ‘n’ chips, nachos and sirloin steaks which customers cook to their own taste on sizzling lava stones.
Bar Brig is at the Great Junction Street end of Leith Walk. There is restricted on-street parking and numerous bus services to and from Edinburgh city centre. The nearest rail station is Waverley, a brisk fifteen to twenty minute walk. Local attractions include Urban Paintball Edinburgh and Leith Links.
