Tasty grazing platter with chicken skewers and lamb koftas. We ordered extra calamari, which was delicious. The broccoli side was unfortunately cold. Otherwise everything was great.

Blossom Restaurant & Bar is an elegant yet welcoming dining space inside the 4-star Voco Edinburgh hotel. The eclectic menu takes its inspiration from food cultures across the globe while showcasing Scotland’s best seasonal produce. You can choose from a mixture of high and banquette seating, then make the most of the calming, low-lit vibe. Afterwards, why not linger with a cocktail or two?
Sample starters at The Blossom include a traditional cullen skink soup or the cheese souffle with apple & walnut salad. Seafood lovers can sample the beetroot cured salmon served on chef-made blinis with chive cream cheese.
Mains might feature sea bass crowned with tarragon butter sauce shallots; steak with tangy chimichurri sauce, or a Korean Chicken Burger with kimchi and spicy potato fries. Veggies dishes include the sweet potato parcel with broccoli and tomato sauce.
For desserts, choose from the gateau of the day, classics like sticky toffee pudding, or a combination of sweet Scottish treats (including the chef’s own indulgent whisky fudge).
Voco Edinburgh is around a mile from the city centre, within walking distance of Edinburgh International Conference Centre and the Odeon Lothian Road. Both the West End tram stop and Haymarket station are easy to reach.
