The food at Barolo was fantastic. As this was a meal deal on 5pm.co.uk, we were surprised at the choice of menu. The quality of the food was excellent and the staff were great - very helpful and attentive. Ten out of ten!!!

My husband and I booked on the three courses for £19.95 menu. I chose mussels, then a chicken dish, then vanilla cheesecake. My husband chose a filo parcel filled with chicken and mushroom, pizza, and then the cheesecake. The food, service, and atmosphere in the restaurant were all top-notch. A special thank you for accommodating our daughter and her friends at very short notice.
Located in Mitchell Street in the heart of the city centre, Barolo Grill serves top quality Scottish steaks, meats and seafood with a contemporary Italian touch.
Its central location makes it an ideal pit stop for hungry shoppers, as well as an excellent choice for business lunches, romantic dinners and lively nights out. In the summer months, the sun terrace in Gordon Street offers a place to dine al fresco and watch the city centre pass by.
Only the very best cattle are selected for Barolo Grill’s speciality steaks, which are matured on the bone to enhance flavour. Meat lovers also have the option of indulging in surf and turf or one of the restaurant’s grill specialities, which include spicy Tuscan sausage, prime Scottish lamb and the veal steak mince burger. Vegetarians can choose from a range of fresh salads, creamy pastas, risottos and stone-baked pizzas baked in the restaurant’s traditional Italian pizza oven.
Barolo Grill also prides itself on its extensive wine list which offers a range of Italian wines including, naturally, a selection from the Barolo region.
Barolo Grill has excellent transport links. A two minute walk from Central Station, it is also within five minutes of Queen Street railway station and both Buchanan Street and St Enoch subway stations. There is a taxi rank very behind Central Station and there are several car parks nearby.
