  Lovely vibe, great value, delicious food, great cocktails and very friendly professional service - my partner had finished his meal before me and the waitress knew it be exceptionally rude to take his plate away while I was still eating. This level of insight into customers' experience impressed me as I’ve dined in 5* restaurants before and the service lacked this insight how it can make the individual still eating feel. After our meal we enjoyed a few drinks in a seated area outside -we were surprised that the vibe was equally as good outside we didn’t notice the noise we expected from the traffic or any trains and the fresh flowers smelled beautiful, good wee sun trap to enjoy drinks.We love this wee place and have been a few times now so we would highly recommend.

Zambretto Italian – Old Sneddon is, as the name indicates, on Old Sneddon Street. A welcoming bar and casual dining room, this Zambretto is open for everything from breakfast, lunch to weekend cocktails and dinner with friends and family.

Live music on Saturdays ensures that the bar is always a fun place to recuperate from the working week. The wine list runs from delicate Pinot Grigio to muscular South African Shiraz.

Classic Italian dishes

As well as a keenly priced lunch menu, Zambretto Italian – Old Sneddon runs a main menu with a wide range of pizza, pasta, risotto and calzone dishes. To start there are several types of classic Italian breads or there are options such as calamari, antipasti boards and arancini rice balls filled with BBQ pulled pork. There are more than a dozen pasta and pizza dishes plus a selection of interesting salads like the steak and mushroom. A variety of steaks compete for attention with dishes such as the pan-fried salmon and broccoli or the marinated rack of BBQ ribs. The dessert menu offers popular choices like the warm cookie dough with ice cream or the strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake.
