The Inn at Àird a' Bhàsair

One of Skye’s oldest inns, The Inn at Àird a’ Bhàsair is located in Ardvasar, which is a short walk from the ferry port of Armadale.

Taken over by the Eilean Iarmain group in 2017 and refurbished since, the inn has ten en-suite rooms, some with views of the woodland and some overlooking the Sound of Sleat.

The inn has free Wifi, is dog-friendly (with a number of suitable rooms available for a supplement) and there are two bar areas which have a relaxed atmosphere, with a games room in one.

Two bars and plenty of dining space

There are a great range of gins and wines, amongst others, including the brand’s own Gaelic Gin. Food is locally-sourced and guests can expect fresh dining, both indoors and outdoors.

Expect starters like the soup of the day, grilled halloumi and Loch Eishort mussels, mains including grilled lemon sole, venison steak and pea & asparagus risotto, with plenty of pizzas to choose from, and a few Scottish desserts like the Buckfast-poached pear and the deep-fried Mars Bar.
