Scotlands Spa Hotel has been offering a warm Highland welcome since the early 1900s. Based in the Victorian town of Pitlochry, it is in elegant grey stone property surrounded by craggy scenery.

Inside, you will find a combination of restored Edwardian splendour and polished contemporary touches. It makes for a convenient getaway destination as it is just a 90-minute drive from both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Well-equipped rooms

Many of the hotel’s guest rooms have benefitted from the recent makeover. Each has free WiFi, tea & coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV. In the ensuite bathroom you will find a heated towel rail and Scottish Fine Soaps products to help you unwind after a day of exploring.

Upgraded rooms have extra perks like stylish sleigh beds, Nespresso coffee machines and bigger TVs. Many rooms also have sweeping views of the town and mountains.

There are also two annexes, Dunevis and Bank House, where families can enjoy a more private holiday space.

Escape to heavenly Highland Perthshire

Whether you like cosy tearooms or the great outdoors, Pitlochry and the surrounding Perthshire countryside offer plenty to enjoy. Cairngorms National Park is just a short drive from the hotel and Loch Tummel is also nearby.

There is also no shortage of castles and stately homes in the area, including the 17th century Glamis Castle and the breathtaking Scone Palace. If you are a whisky fan, then why not stop off for a dram at the Blair Atholl and Edradour distilleries? And if you fancy a shopping spree, you can reach Perth in less than an hour by car.

There are also plenty of thrills to be had for adventure seekers, including kayaking on Loch Tay, bungee jumping at Killiekrankie and skiing at Glenshee.
