Award winning dining

With an award-winning chef in the kitchen, Murrayshall House Hotel are serious about their dining. All dishes are made with fresh seasonal produce, from fresh free range eggs to locally cured Perthshire bacon.

The menus change according to the ingredients in season but typical main courses might be the Gressingham duck – smoked breast, confit leg, foie gras won ton, noodle rosti and soy consommé – or the Isle of Ghia halibut served with a crab and parsley crust, sweetcorn risotto balls, confit fennel and sauce vierge.

See and do

The Murrayshall Estate is home to both the Murrayshall and Lynedoch Golf Courses. Both courses are a real contrast to one another – Murrayshall Championship is the wider, longer course and requires length and accuracy from the tee shot. Lynedoch is shorter but no less a challenge; tighter fairways, bracken-filled gullies and tall Scots Pine trees narrow the golfer’s view of fairways and greens.

Away from the golf course, visitors could explore Scone Palace and Glamis Castle or catch a show at Perth Theatre. Of course, Perthshire has some of Scotland’s most beautiful countryside and autumn is a great time of year for a ramble in Big Tree country.
