Breadalbane Arms Hotel

Originally a Scottish coaching inn, The Breadalbane Arms Hotel in Aberfeldy has been welcoming guests since 1802. The hotel is nestled in Highland Perthshire, one of Scotland’s most scenic areas. Aberfeldy itself is a pretty market town under two hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh, making it a handy location for a short getaway. The hotel is based in the town’s cobbled main square and has recently been given a total interior refurbishment. Facilities include a lounge bar, free WiFi in public areas and free onsite parking.

Since its recent refurbishment, each of the hotel’s 36 ensuite bedrooms have been kitted out with new high quality furniture, new bathrooms and modernised showers. Facilities include flat screen TVs and hot drink making facilities, plus access to BT WiFi, which you can connect to for a surcharge.

Choice of nearby restaurants

The hotel offers a buffet breakfast each morning but doesn’t serve lunch or dinner. However, the cosy lounge bar has a choice of Highland malt whiskies, wines, beers, speciality teas, freshly ground coffees, and a great a selection of cakes and scones. For evening dining, there is a wide variety of restaurants nearby, including French, Scottish, Italian, Mediterranean, Chinese and Indian.

Other attractions include Dewar’s World of Whisky, Aberfeldy Gallery, Aberfeldy Golf Club, Castle Menzies, Wade’s Bridge and the Black Watch Monument. You could also explore the nearby woodland walk of The Birks, which includes Moness Falls, or head for a hike to Cairngorms National Park, around forty miles away.
