Scandinavian style cabins

The pine cabins at Macdonald Lochanhully Resort are designed in a Scandinavian style with floor to ceiling windows and chic minimalist features.

They include two bedrooms, one double and one single, plus a spacious open plan kitchen, lounge area and conservatory which extends from the living room and offers additional dining space and woodland views. There is also a trundle bed and sofa bed in the lounge area.

All cabins have a cooker, microwave, fridge, TV, and free WiFi.

Restaurant

Located centrally within the resort you’ll find The Woodland Diner offering a great value menu full of locally sourced meats and seafood, all slow cooked on our smoke pit.

The menu changes seasonally but you can expect a range of small plates and nibbles as well as barbeques, grills and seafood. There’s also a kids menu and a choice of starters and desserts for those who’ve worked up a bigger appetite in the Cairngorms!

Leisure club

Macdonald Lochanhully Resort boasts a small swimming pool and gym which are free for guests to enjoy during their stay. There’s also a steam room and sauna to help guests unwind after a day exploring.

The resort also has a basketball court, tennis court, pool table and adventure play area and activity room for children.

The resort’s loch is available for seasonal trout fishing (licence required) and keen golfers staying get preferential rates at Macdonald Spey Valley Championship Golf Course in Aviemore.

Surrounding area

Macdonald Lochanhully Resort is located in one of the most scenic areas of Scotland, within the Cairngorms National Park.

The resort is only 20 minutes from Aviemore and thirty minutes from Inverness.

Nearby attractions include the Cairngorm Funicular Railway which offers magnificent mountain views, Landmark Forest Adventure Park which has thrilling rides and fun activities for kids of all ages, Loch Morlich which has beautiful sandy beaches, Strathspey Steam Railway, Rothiemurchus Estate, Highland Wildlife Park and Highland Folk Museum.
