Built in 1873, the hotel’s tranquil restaurant, leisure club with swimming pool and spa treatment area make it an ideal escape to unwind in. Keavil House is also gateway to the ruggedly lovely Fife coastline and is only a half hour drive from Edinburgh.

Rooms for relaxation

Each of the hotel’s stylish and contemporary rooms has a sparkling ensuite bathroom with power shower; luxury mattress, bed linen and pillows; free high-speed WiFi, TV with Freeview, desk, safe, hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries, meaning you can nestle up in comfort.

Executive rooms have added perks such as a queen size bed, a larger TV, an alarm docking station with Bluetooth, and extra luxurious, highly pinchable aromatherapy toiletries from Keiji.

Stylish Scottish and international dining

The Botanist Restaurant at Keavil House is, as the name suggests, an airy, conservatory-style space with a soft colour scheme of whites, creams and pinks.

Head Chef Phil Yates is passionate about Scotland’s natural larder and believes in creating dishes that will both surprise and satisfy you. His kitchen team offer a wide choice of carefully prepared dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.

The menu changes regularly but typical mains might be the roast rump of Perthshire lamb, the grilled rib-eye of Borders beef or the veggie friendly wild mushroom and roasted butternut squash risotto. There is also a choice of prime steaks and burgers, plus classics such as moules & frites, haddock & chips and steak pie.

Swimming and spa

The hotel’s leisure club includes a fifteen metre swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and superbly equipped gym.

There is also a spa area offering a wide range of face and body treatments, so you could treat yourself to an organic facial, manicure or hot stone massage, or even a new hairstyle in the salon.

Fabulous Fife

As mentioned, Keavil House Hotel is well placed for exploring the Fife coastline, meaning you can enjoy bracing coastal walks with your other half. If you are a golf fan, you can take your pick from nearby courses such as Dunfermline Golf Club, Forrester Park Resort Golf Course and Canmore Golf Club. You could also learn a bit about the history of the sport at the British Golf Museum. Other attractions include Dunfermline Abbey, Deep Sea World and the stunning University of St. Andrews campus.
