Garleton Lodge

Garleton Lodge is a luxury B&B and small hotel perched on a hilltop in East Lothian, less than thirty minutes from the centre of Edinburgh. The lodge offers spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding area, restaurant, lounge bar, outdoor hot tub and BBQ hut.

Stylish Scottish-themed rooms

Garleton Lodge has been recently refurbished, including a makeover of its eight lovely, airy guest rooms. Traditional Scottish features, such as the Garleton Lodge tartan and stag, have been added as well as a range of artworks.

Every ensuite room is named after a Scottish whisky distillery, including Aberlour, Jura, Glengoyne and Springbank. Facilities include a fridge, digital TV, free WiFi, complimentary bottled water, tea/coffee maker, guest toiletries and infant cribs/beds.

Garleton Lodge is also home to The Chocolate Stag, East Lothian’s finest handmade chocolates and there are plenty of opportunities for you to sample these during your stay.

New for 2020, the latest addition to guest facilities is a spa/treatment room – Charlie’s @ Garleton Lodge – offering guests bespoke spa treatments alongside the hot tub and relaxation room with spectacular views across Edinburgh, the Forth and surrounding East Lothian countryside.

The restaurant at Garleton Lodge offers spectacular views across the Firth of Forth, Edinburgh and the East Lothian countryside. Dishes mainly feature locally sourced ingredients from suppliers such as Belhaven Smokehouse, Linton Butchers and Yester Dairies, meaning that you can enjoy the best flavours of Scotland and East Lothian.

Menus can change seasonally, but expect starters such as the Belhaven smoked trout pâté with oatcakes, and the goats cheese served on caramelised onion salad. Mains might include the sea bass with lemon butter sauce, and the fillet steak with pepper sauce and French fries

Desserts will likely feature treats like the rhubarb & white chocolate mousse with homemade shortbread, and the sticky toffee pudding with extra toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.
