Stunning Views with Child and Pet Friendly Rooms

Each of the six rooms at the Galley of Lorne Inn, Ardfern is named after different isles of the Inner and Outer Hebrides. The Skye suite is the largest and a popular choice with honeymooners. As well as stunning views looking over Loch Craignish to the isle of Jura, it also has a large corner bath with an overhead shower. All the rooms have garden or loch views and feature double glazing, LCD TV, Freeview channels; clock radio with iPod docking facility and WiFi.

While there is not a family room per se, children are very welcome at the Galley of Lorne Inn. The Skye suite is capable of accommodating two adults and two children. Other rooms can accommodate two adults and one child. Cots, baby baths and other handy item are also available at reception. There are also baby changing facilities, a children’s menu and half portions of the adult menu. For a small fee, pets are welcome in their owners’ rooms, the public bar and around the public area of the grounds. The Galley of Lorne Inn, Ardfern also offers free WiFi in all of public areas as well as guest bedrooms.

Local Argyll Produce and West Coast Whiskies

The restaurant at the Galley of Lorne Inn has massive picture windows giving diners breathtaking views across Loch Craignish. Local ingredients that are in season including seafood and game are prominent on the menu. The menus change seasonally but typical dishes might be the pan seared scallops from the Firth of Lorne; the steamed Craignish mussels or the char grilled sirloin steak. During the quieter months, the restaurant menu is served in the Lounge bar.

Both the Lounge bar and public bar have a great range of spirits, beers, wine and whisky to choose from. Dating from circa 1680, the public bar is in the oldest part of the Inn and is a colourful place to enjoy a meal by the roaring fire. There is also an outdoor area where you can enjoy your meal and drinks, supplemented with a spectacular view of Loch Craignish.

Cancellation Policy

If a booking is cancelled less than 7 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

A fold-down bed can be provided. Can accommodate 2 children in the Skye suite but only 1 child in all other suites. Extra beds are on a request basis. Under 5 stay free of charge, 5 and older £15.00 per child, per night. Includes full Scottish Breakfast.
