Rosslea Hall Hotel

Perched on a pretty bay overlooking the Firth of Clyde, Rosslea Hall Hotel is an ideal spot for escaping it all. Seals, porpoises and the odd bottlenose whale all visit Rhu Bay at different times of year, plus there is a marina that is ideal for catching the sunset.

You can reach Rosslea Hall from Glasgow in under an hour, while both Helensburgh and Loch Lomond shores are a short drive away.

After dining, head to the Glen Fruin Bar area with its plush wooden floors and leather sofas, or saunter out onto the terrace to enjoy sunset cocktails by the loch.

The bar also serves pub meals and a range of traditional and sparkling afternoon teas, including the ‘Mysterious Masquerade’ tea.

Lochs, historic houses and golfing

Rosslea Hall is a short drive from both the iconic Charles Rennie Mackintosh Hill House and Helensburgh Golf Course.

For a shopping spree head to nearby Loch Lomond Shores, while nature lovers can explore the loch’s Bird of Prey Centre. And after exploring Rhu Bay itself, you might also want to take a ramble along rugged Lunderston Bay.
